Raw versus Cooked i have a question
about weighing food that has already been cooked. i know now that if fish (i dont eat any meat) has already been cooked you have to weigh it 20% less than the raw weight. I was just wondering now. If vegetables have already been cooked how much less do i weigh them. Does anyone know. I will ask my consultant next monday if not.... hope you are all having a great day. its another lovely day here in the eastern bay of plenty....

From what I have experienced from cooking vegies they become about 20% heavier on cooking, I only know this because I cook exactly the same amount of vegies for hubby but wanted to seperate them after cooking and make sure I didnt get too much, might be a little more than 20% even.
