Sun-Dried Tomatoes
Hey guys.... Are we allowed these on QL ????? I usually hate tomatoes, but when i was on holidays, my aunty gave me one on a cracker with cheese - and now i love them !! Thought that it would be a nice addition to a cheese salad - seeing as though i don't eat raw tomatoes. Thanks guys !!

Good question because I do have them, but only the no oil ones. If you like sundried tomatoes then you will also love semi dried tomatoes. I get them from Woolies in the deli, but make sure they are in springwater not oil. Meagan

Hi Crissy82 I think you area allowed sundried tomatoes, because they are in olive oil, plus spices (another way to have some of your oil allowance). I always buy the semi dried ones, because they havent absorbed so much of the oil. I only have 2 or 3 wedges, because I can only have 1/2 tomato each day. We dont have a clinic near here anymore for me to double check about that; so better not quote me. Biddy

I have used them through the latter part of my journey - but only very ocasionally - and I drain them well - knowing they will have still absorbed some olive oil I count that as my oil allowance for the day. LOL Patty
